Acoustics is a difficult subject to assess without a detailed understanding of the construction, since noise can be transferred in many different ways.

If the property was converted for subletting of space, certain criteria should have been incorporated within the base building to accommodate this use through the Building Regulations.

In order to assess the situation further we would need to understand the following:

? The age of the property
? When it was converted and details of the conversion
? The form of construction, type of flooring etc
? What is generating the noise, i.e. footfall, flanking or radiant sound through music

By understanding these elements, we would be in a better position to offer advice and a possible solution.

We acknowledge your position as a tenant and your need for a cost effective removable remedial measures.

Should you wish to discuss the matter further we would be pleased to review your situation. Please contact us at info@jeremywedge.com to review how we can assist you.
