Answer From Our Expert
by: Jeremy Wedge

2.4m is the minimum standard for a domestic property, when converting a loft it is desirable to have a minimum of 2.3m with 1.75m into dormer areas.

There is nothing stopping you converting a loft with low headroom, but you must weigh up the potential value it will add.

We have completed a loft space in this height, but we introduced a flat roof dormer to maximise the space.

If you would like to understand what it would look and feel like we can undertake a feasibility report for you at a nominal charge, should you decide to go ahead with the project we will deduct the feasibility report cost from the project.

If you would like further information on how to proceed with a feasibility report, please contact us at info@jeremywedge.com
