You are describing a loose cut timber roof construction with Rafters, pulins and struts.

If you are just using the roof for storage, we would suggest just boarding out the floor.

If you board out the sloping surfaces and do not allow adequate ventilation you may cause further problems with condensation that could lead to longer term problems with the roof.
