Fire Proofing Party Wall

Under the Party Wall Act and building regulations loft conversion work would include the building of new firebreak party walls when, as in this case, there are none already in place. So, as a minimum, that work would have to be done.

As for having to build a new block wall from ground level it would be best to seek the advice of a structural engineer/surveyor who would be able to examine the property and advise you of the best course of action.
