Answer From Our Expert
by: Jeremy Wedge

a. In order that we can help you, we will need your consent so that we can establish a direct e-mail link.

b. But to get the process started we will need to ask you a number of questions so that we can better understand the whole process from project inception to completion.

i. Did you employ an architect or a loft company?

ii. If you employed a loft company did they prepare the design of was is it sub-let to an independent Architect?

iii. Did you enter into a contract with this company?

iv. Did you sign off the design?

v. Did you receive planning permission for the work?

vi. Who organised building regulation approval?

vii. Do you have copies of the drawings used for the works?

viii. If the building received Building Regulation approval, did you receive a completion certificate?

ix. Did you receive a warranty for the works?

x. Do you have photographs of the work during construction and now?

c. These may seem like a lot of questions but we need to understand the process you went through as we will need to build up a picture of events. We would also need to understand more about the company and what information you have regarding the name change etc.

d. We would like to see if we can get you compensation, but more importantly establish who else has could be affected.

e. We look forward to receiving your consent so that we can investigate this matter further on your behalf.
